About Us

After being therapists for many years, we finally realised our dream and opened the Celtic Sanctuary Centre in December 2008. This means that as well as offering various complementary therapies, we are now able to offer much more! Our aim is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for our clients and customers to come along and relax. Feel free to pop in for a visit, a chat and a browse. We hope you enjoy the website, here you can find information on everything we have on offer right here in the centre!

About the Building

We are located in Sailors Walk, an 'A' listed National Trust for Scotland building in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Sailors Walk is of historical interest as it is the oldest (now non-residential) house in Kirkcaldy, which was primarily the home of the Oliphant family. Later on, however, the house became 3 separate dwellings for the Oliphants, Tods and Hutchisons (2 Oliphant daughters married into the latter 2 families). The Hutchison in question is of course Robert Hutchison of the flour mill, which is still in operation today. The Oliphants and Tods were a combination of Ship Owners/Merchants, Whalers and Customs Officials.

With its low ceilings and quirkiness, the centre offers a warm and cosy atmosphere.
